Super Mini Boom

  • 2-½" Diameter flotation
  • 4" Skirt Depth
  • ¼" Galvanized chain ballast
  • 22 oz./sq. yd orange Jaton fabric
  • Poly couplers available as an option
  • Grommeted, reinforced ends are standard

Boom Fabric Information and Choices:

  • Recommended section lengths:  25', 50' and 100'
  • Recommended use:  Super Mini Booms are recommended as sweeping devices to aid in the removal of oil on water when a prevailing wind or current does not exist or does not prevent efficient removal.
  • The Super Mini Boom is deployed around the oil and then moved to reduce the coverage area, increasing the oil thickness for more efficient recovery by a vacuum hose or floating skimmer.
  • Super Mini Booms are effective containment devices on small streams, creeks, stock ponds and low water areas.

4" x 6" Containment Booms

  • 4" Diameter flotation
  • 6" Skirt depth
  • ¼" or 5/16" Galvanized chain ballast
  • 22 oz./sq. yd Jaton or 24 oz./sq. yd Jaton Plus fabric:  orange or yellow
  • Aluminum quick latch or slide couplers are recommended
  • Top tension cable available on request

Boom Fabric Information and Choices:

  • Recommended section lengths:  25', 50', and 100'
  • Recommended use:  4" x 6" Booms are floating containment devices for ponds, small lakes, streams, creeks and small rivers where strong currents or winds do not exist.

4" x 9" Containment Booms

  • 4" Diameter flotation
  • 9" Skirt depth
  • ¼" or 5/16" Galvanized chain ballast
  • 22 oz./sq. yd Jaton or 24 oz./sq. yd Jaton Plus fabric:  orange or yellow
  • Aluminum quick latch or slide couplers are recommended
  • Top tension cable available on request

Boom Fabric Information and Choices:

  • Recommended section lengths:  25', 50' and 100'
  • Recommended use:  4" x 9" Booms are favored by clean-up contractors and end-users because they cover a broader spectrum of applications and conditions.

6" x 12" Containment Booms

  • 6" Diameter flotation
  • 12" Skirt depth
  • ¼" / 5/16" / 3/8" Galvanized chain ballast
  • 22 oz./sq. yd Jaton or 24 oz./sq. yd Jaton Plus fabric:  orange or yellow
  • Aluminum quick latch or slide couplers are recommended
  • Top tension cable available on request

Boom Fabric Information and Choices:

  • Recommended section lengths:  50' and 100'
  • Recommended use:  6" x 12" Booms are used on lakes or open bodies of water where wind creates significant wave action.  Under normal conditions, total section lengths should not exceed 500' without a top tension member.

8" x 12" Containment Booms

  • 8" Diameter flotation
  • 12" Skirt depth
  • ¼" / 5/16" / 3/8" Galvanized chain ballast
  • 22 oz./sq. yd Jaton or 24 oz./sq. yd Jaton Plus fabric:  orange or yellow
  • Aluminum quick latch or slide couplers are recommended
  • Top tension cable available on request

Boom Fabric Information and Choices:

Recommended section lengths:  50' and 100'

Recommended use:  these booms are recommended for large lakes, bays or harbors.  Top cable is recommended when several hundred feet are deployed.  3/8" chain ballast is recommended when tidal flows or currents exist.

8" x 24" Containment Booms

  • 8" Diameter flotation
  • 24" Skirt depth
  • ¼" / 5/16" / 3/8" Galvanized chain ballast
  • 22 oz./sq. yd Jaton or 24 oz./sq. yd Jaton Plus fabric:  orange or yellow
